Symptoms
Confluence can be accessed via two IP Addresses: a local one that is accessible in an intranet, and an external one that is accessible via the Internet.
Accessing Confluence via the local IP Address returns Confluence content correctly, while the external IP address returns a blank page.
A router is used to handle IP and port forwarding from the external IP Address to internal IP addresses.
Cause
The router does not have a forward rule configured to direct requests to Confluence's application server.
Resolution
Make sure that you have an IP and port forward rule configured in your router. For router configuration issues please contact your hardware provider or manufacturer.
