Confluence not working on Safari 11

Problem

  • On Safari 11, users may face errors on Confluence, as some information is not displayed on the dashboard, and JavaScript errors appear in the console.

  • Errors include:

    • TypeError: Value is not a sequence

    • Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 503 (Service Unavailable)

    • Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not found)

Cause

Workaround

  • Disable Selenium Webdriver extension on Safari. To disable it, please follow the steps below:

    • On your Safari window, go to Preferences >> Extensions;

    • On the WebDriver by Selenium, uncheck the checkbox "Enable 'WebDriver'".
