Character  Added to The Body of Note Macro

Diagnosis

  1. Run encoding test to isolate character encoding problem.

  2. If the encoding test returned a successful test result, next check if your server is configured with proxy. If it is, bypass proxy and access Confluence directly via localhost:<port> or <IP>:<port>, temporarily update Confluence Admin > General Configuration > Base URL to this new URL and check again on the problem.

Cause

The problem is caused by a proxy configuration (URL rewriting causes the strange character).

Consult your System Administrator and re-configure the proxy setting.
