Problem
When editing a page in Confluence, you are unable to use the "Insert date" functionality:
Typing the
//
shortcut does not load the date picker.Clicking the "Insert More Content" button in the editor toolbar, then Date does not open the date picker.
Cause
The Confluence Inline Tasks app is not enabled.
Resolution
Re-enable the app with the following steps:
Go to Administration > Manage apps (or Add-ons, in older versions of Confluence).
Select All apps from the search dropdown.
In the search box, enter the following search term:
inline tasks.
In the search results, expand the Confluence Inline Tasks item and make sure:
It is enabled (If it is disabled, the title text will be gray and there will be an "Enable" button available.
All the modules are enabled (e.g. "51 of 51 modules enabled").
If the app or any of the modules are disabled, re-enable them by clicking the coordinating "Enable" button.
When everything's enabled, it should look similar to this, and you should be able to use the Insert Date functionality in the editor:
