Can I use Gravatar in Confluence?

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Confluence does not support the use of Gravatar.
Suggestions:
There is an open feature request that you can vote and watch: CONFSERVER-19636 - Add support for Gravatars in Confluence both for inclusion and export
Workaround is to use the following plugin instead: Gravatar for Confluence
This plugin is unsupported. please use it at your own risk as Atlassian can not support it.
