Being a guest and a user is not supported by Confluence Cloud

Summary

In admin.atlassian.com ,when a user is set as both:

• User

• Guest

If the space admin attempts to add this user to the space permission guest list, the user will be not be added.

Diagnosis

This occurs because, when both roles are selected, the system views the account as a user rather than a guest.

Cause

This happens because the system is not 100% compatible with an account that is both user and guest. It is suggested to have:

• only user role

OR

• only guest role

Solution

Please provide only guest or user role to an account.
