Unable to login into Bitbucket Server after turning on Crowd integration

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Symptoms

Login attempts are failing when trying to login into Bitbucket Server with Crowd credentials.

Cause

The user was not defined in the group stash-users group.

Resolution

  1. Go to Bitbucket Server Admin.

  2. Accounts.

  3. Global Permissions

  4. Define user to be inside stash-users group.

  5. Synchronize Bitbucket Server with Crowd.

  6. Try to login again.
