Remote: error: file write error (no space left on the device)

Problem
The following appears in the console after executing a git push against Bitbucket Server:

remote: fatal: unable to write sha1 file
fatal: unpack-objects failed abnormal exitCause
The disk where BITBUCKET_HOME is mounted is full.
Resolution
Allocate more space to the partition and restart your instance.
