Something went wrong error when merging a Pull Request

Summary
Merge failed "Something went wrong" error appears in Bitbucket UI when user perfrom the merge operation on a Pull Request.
Cause
There could be a .lock file on the repository target branch causing merge to fail.
Solution
Get in touch with our support at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ and ask them to remove the lock file from the target branch of the Pull request.
