Summary

This knowledge-based article aims to provide a step-by-step guide on removing users from all repositories and groups within a workspace.

Solution

Scenario 1:

The below steps apply to workspaces that were created from https://bitbucket.org site.

Workspace administrators can follow these steps to remove a user:

  1. Click on the cog icon at the top right corner of the Bitbucket UI and open the Workspace settings.

  2. Navigate to User Directory under Access Management. You can use the following direct link and replace <WorkspaceID> with your actual WorkspaceID: https://bitbucket.org/<WorkspaceID>/workspace/settings/user-directory.

  3. Locate the user that needs to be removed.

  4. In the actions section on the right side of the username, click the three dots "...".

  5. Select Remove from the dropdown menu. This will permanently remove the user from the workspace and revoke their access to all repositories.
