How to disable Bitbucket Cloud Premium IP Allowlisting feature if none of the admins IP have been whitelisted?

Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.

Summary

Bitbucket Cloud supports the IP whitelisting features in the premium plan. If the feature is enabled and the user tries to access using another IP which is not whitelisted, the access is blocked for both GIT terminal access as well as on the web UI portal as well.

Error in the Bitbucket Cloud UI:

1 2 3 You're currently blocked from this page To access this repository, you must allowlist your IP address (IP_ADDR) Disable IP allowlisting to add a new IP address

Error in terminal:

1 2 To access this repository, an admin must whitelist your IP. fatal: unable to access 'https://bitbucket.org/workspaceID/repository.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403

Solution

If the admin's IP is not whitelisted, they can disable IP whitelisting by clicking on the link "Disable IP allowlisting" on the error screen.

Once initiated, they will get an email to confirm the selection to disable IP whitelisting.
