Summary
When trying to add MATLAB as a server capability, the MATLAB executable type cannot be found in the drop-down list of executable types.
Environment
All supported versions of Bamboo.
Diagnosis
When going to Bamboo administration > Overview > Server capabilities > Add capability, The MATLAB executable type is not listed in the Type drop-down menu:

Cause
The MATLAB plugin is not installed or is disabled.
Solution
Check whether the MATLAB plugin is installed on Bamboo or not and if it's enabled. This can be done by going Cog icon > Manage apps. If installed, the MATLAB plugin will be listed in the User-installed apps. Please make sure it's enabled:

If the app is not listed there, it means it hasn't been installed. In that case, you can download the plugin's JAR file from the vendor's site and install it by going to Bamboo administration > Manage apps > Upload app > select the JAR file and hit upload. You'll then be able to add the server capability and point it to the MATLAB executable in your system:
