Problem

When reviewing the Number of Tests report in the Custom Reports and Statistics section of Bamboo, the report for a Plan that is known to have tests shows empty graphs and data tables.

Cause

When builds fail before the test results can be parsed, the count of tests and their statuses can not be added to Bamboo. We can confirm this "missing" data in two places:

  1. The Recent history section of the Plan Summary page, which will show Testless build in the test column

  2. The Data chart tab of the Number of Tests report, which shows - (dash) instead of a number of builds

Resolution

To have this data appear, we need to have builds succeed. As soon as recent builds are successful, data will start appearing in the table.
