How to find the Server ID in Bamboo

Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Summary

This article covers the steps required to retrieve your Bamboo instance's Server ID value. The Server ID is an identifier for your Bamboo instance. When creating a Bamboo license on my.atlassian.com, you may be prompted to enter the Server ID.

Environment

All supported versions of Bamboo.

Solution

There are two ways to find the Server ID:

User interface

You must be logged in as a user with administrative permissions for all of the following procedures.

  1. From the top navigation bar select Bamboo Administration

  2. Under the System section (in the left-side panel), openLicense details. The Server ID is displayed in the Existing license key details section of the page.

Manually in the filesystem

  1. Go to <bamboo-home-directory> and open the bamboo.cfg.xml file.

  2. The Server ID can be found at the <property name="serverId"> line:
