Artifacts Not Transferred, Jobs Fail with 302 HTTP Status

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Symptoms

  1. Shared artifacts are not always successfully transferred and, as such, plans cannot complete with the following error message being logged:

    1 java.io.IOException: Unexpected HTTP status code: 302 Moved Temporarily

  2. Remote agent fail to download artifact with the following error message:

    1 java.lang.RuntimeException: Unexpected HTTP status code: HTTP/1.1 302 Found

Cause

  1. The option Wait for jobs to complete isn't selected in the Scheduled Backup settings.

  2. Remote agent configured with HTTP URL that will be auto redirected to HTTPS URL.

Resolution

  1. Select the option Wait for jobs to complete in the Scheduled Backup settings.

  2. Configured remote agent wrapper.conf file to use HTTPS URL.
