Summary
An incorrect status category can cause the warning below next to resolved issues in plans:
Unresolved issue after end date This issue is still unresolved after the target end date. Check if the status needs updating, or if more time is needed for the issue.

Diagnosis
As a Jira user
Open the ticket in the View Issue page
Note that the status has a Blue colour, even though the issue is resolved (it has a resolution set).
In the example screenshots, we have used the status Done, but the same would apply for any other status, which should represent a ticket in its completed state.

Please contact your Jira Administrator for the next steps and solution.
As a Jira Admin user
Go to the page Administration ⚙ > Issues > Statuses
Check the Category column of the Status in question

If the Category is not set to Done but instead to To Do or In Progress, then this article is relevant
Cause
The warning shows in the Plan because the status is configured as an In Progress or To Do type status rather than a Done type status.
As a result, the Plan does not treat this status as a completed status and thinks that the work in the ticket has not been completed yet, ultimately adding a warning next to this ticket.
Please note that changing a status category will impact
Solution
To identify incorrect statuses in Jira, follow these steps:
Log in as a Jira Admin User: You need administrative access to check and modify status configurations.
Navigate to Statuses:
Go to the Jira settings by clicking on the gear icon (⚙).
Select Issues from the dropdown menu.
Click on Statuses.
Check the Category Column:
Look at the Category column for each status.
Identify statuses that are incorrectly categorized. For example, if a status that should indicate completion (like Done) is categorized under To Do or In Progress, it is incorrect.
Correct the Category:
Change the category of the status to Done if it represents a completed state.
By following these steps, you can ensure that statuses are correctly categorized, which helps in avoiding warnings like "Unresolved issue after end date" in Jira plans.
