Set a default classification level for content

Ensure your content in a chosen space is always classified by setting a default classification level for that space. What is a default classification level?

Whiteboards and databases won’t be classified. What can be classified?

You can set a default classification level for a space once your organization admin has set up classification levels for your organization.

You must be a space admin to set a default classification level.

To set a default classification level for a space:

  1. Go to the space in Confluence Cloud.

  2. Select Space Settings from the sidebar.

  3. Select Data classification from the Data protection card.

  4. Choose the classification level you want to apply as the default for pages in this space.

  5. Select Save.
