Display your Assets data on a Confluence page
Assets is a powerful feature available for Jira Service Management Premium and Enterprise that gives people the ability to track and manage all kinds of data.
This data can be displayed in relevant Confluence pages for reports, stakeholder management, or even just general communications.
You must be a Jira admin and / or have permissions to see the relevant object schema in Assets in Jira Service Management as well as an active Confluence licence in order to see the schema and manage this macro in Confluence.
Users who do not have a Jira Service Management license are not able to insert or update the Assets macro on Confluence pages.
NOTE: Giving someone a role in Assets so they have permissions to see the data will grant access to all object data in this schema from outside Assets, including Confluence.
To embed a table with Assets objects in a Confluence page:
Navigate to a Confluence page you own.
When editing, select from the toolbar. You can also type / on the page to bring up the same list you'd see by selecting from the toolbar.
Search for Assets in the dropdown menu search bar, then select Assets.
After Insert objects from, select the object schema that stores the objects you want to display.
Enter AQL to filter the objects you want to be displayed. Learn more about Atlassian Query Language (AQL).
Results returned from the query will be displayed on a table. To add other attributes, go to :board: at the top of the column, then select from the dropdown menu.
Once you’re happy with the table, select Insert objects.
The AQL queries anyAttribute and connectedTickets() do not work with this macro.
If a user does not have permission to see an attribute (e.g. an attribute that references an object in a restricted schema), then the cell will appear empty or say Unknown.
