Camera Issues on Mac - enable your privacy settings for Loom

Summary

If you're using a Mac device and are unable to record with your in-built camera, we suggest making sure Loom is enabled in your Security & Privacy settings. ✔️

Question 

The Loom app is not recognizing my in-built camera on my Mac device. 

Solution

How to enabled Loom from within your Security & Privacy settings:

  1. Open your System Preferences.

  2. Open your Security & Privacy settings. 

  3. Navigate to the Privacy tab, and make sure Loom is checked under Camera, Accessibility & Screen recording module. 

     

👉  Keep in mind if it's greyed out, you'll need to click the lock icon 🔒 to make changes.
