Unable to share a dashboard or filter with specific group

Summary
The required group name does not appear in the dropdown list when trying to share a dashboard or filter with that group.
Environment
Jira Cloud
Cause
You are not a member of the group that you expect to be visible in the dropdown list for sharing dashboard or filters.
Solution
Add yourself to the group with which you want to share the dashboard.

There is a Feature Request to track the ability to share Filters & Dashboards with a group regardless of membership.
