Kanban boards display an error in Internet Explorer in Jira Software server

Navigating to Kanban board in projects throws below error in Internet Explorer:

Exception: Object doesn't support property or method 'matches'

Environment
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Diagnostic Steps
Try to replicate the issue with other browsers, it should only happen in Internet Explorer
Resolution
This issue has been logged at Microsoft website at Object doesn't support this property or method
After clearing cache and removing temp files, restart the browser please.
