How to view Remaining Time Estimate on issues from Backlog

Summary

On Jira Company managed Boards, there is a way you can display the time tracked against issues using Jira's Remaining Estimate and Time Spent fields.

Environment

• Jira software Cloud

• Company Managed boards (This does not necessarily apply to boards within Team-managed projects)

Solution

You need to ensure the following settings are enabled on the Board.

1. Under Board settings, set theEstimation Statisticon theStory Points.

2. Select Remaining Estimate and Time Spent under the 'Time Tracking'.

3. Go to the backlog on the board, make sure the issues are assigned on the sprint.

4. Click on the three dots to the right of the assignees as shown in the below snapshot.     

5. You will see a pop up with Workload by assignee.

6. This shows the number of issues assigned to the respective assignees, Story points and Remaining time estimate on an issue.
