Disconnecting a Channel from Chat on JSM Cloud

Learn how to remove channels from Jira Service Management Chat integration.

Solution

MS Teams Integration

  1. Open your Microsoft Teams instance.

  2. Go to your team.

  3. Select More ••• > Manage Team > Apps.

  4. Find the Assist app and click the Uninstall button to the right (small trash icon).

  5. Go to your Jira Service Management instance.

  6. Open the project that was connected with that channel.

  7. On the left side bar, click Channels > Chat > Configure.

  8. Once the details appear, disconnect the channel.

Note: for environments where you have only one channel or you are disconnecting the last channel, you will also be prompted to fully remove the Assist bot from MS Teams.

Slack Integration

  1. Go to your Slack Instance.

  2. Open the channel you want to disconnect.

  3. Type in:

    /remove @Assist
  4. Go to your Jira Service Management instance.

  5. Open the project that was connected with that channel.

  6. On the left side bar, click Channels > Chat > Configure.

  7. You will see the channel is no longer listed under Slack tab.
