Summary

This article describes the steps to change the "Created" system field view, so the time is also displayed in Issue search results.

"Created" system field already contains the time but it is not displayed.

Solution

It is possible to change the view of the "Created" system field in Jira to also display the time. You can follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the System settings in Jira. 2. Click on the "Look and Feel" settings under the User Interface section. 3. Scroll down to the "Date/Time Formats" section. 4. In the "Day/Month/Year Format" go to "Complete Date/Time Format", and include the time format. For instance, you can use dd/MMM/yy h: mm a to display the date as 20/Sep/23 4:20 AM. 5. Click on the "Update" button to save the changes.

Please note that these changes will apply to all date and time fields in your Jira system, not just the "Created" field.

As a Jira administrator, you can always customize the look and feel of your Jira applications to match your company's environment.
