Completed issues not hidden on Kanban Board

Summary
Problem
When user configured Kanban board to hide the issues completed 1 or 2 weeks ago, Jira still displays the issues which were completed more than the time specified in the board configuration.

Affects Jira 7.6.5, 7.8.2 and 7.9.0
Diagnostic Steps
Verify that the *com.atlassian.jira.agile.darkfeature.kanban.hide.old.done.issues.disabled* dark feature is disabled from dark features page.
Ensure that the status of the completed issue is mapped to the rightmost column in the board's configuration.
Check if the status of the completed status is from the "Done" (Green) category.
Cause
Problem could be caused by the status used in the rightmost column was created with "To Do" or "In Progress" category.
Solution
Resolution
To fix this problem, follow the steps below:
Access <JIra URL>/secure/admin/ViewStatuses.jspa URL.
Click "Edit" under "Actions" shown beside the status used in the rightmost column.
Change the "Category" of the status to *Done* (Green).
Check your board again to see whether the completed issues are still shown on the board.
