Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian apps on the cloud platform.

You may also see the error: "For this app to display, you need to allow the app to access Atlassian products on your behalf."

Solution

Missing permissions or products

Not all the permissions or products that are required for the addon to function are present on the site.

  • If this affects a specific user, ask them to test the app using their browser in incognito mode. If they are able to access the app in incognito mode, ask them to clear their browser's cache.

  • Check if you have all the products required as per the error message displayed. In this case, Jira Software and Jira Service Management are required. If you don't have any of the products in your instance, then you will get the error message stating "Access denied. This app requires access to a Jira & Jira & User identity & Jira Service Management site which you don’t have or don’t have the permission to access."

  • If you don't want to use these products but still need to use this app, add the missing product with a Free subscription so that the app functionality is not affected.
