Give permission to link assets from a next-gen help center

Customers can link assets to their request when completing a request form in the help center if an asset field is available. You can give your customers permission to do this by adding a visible asset management field to a request type.

You must be a project administrator to configure request types.

To add an asset management field:

  1. From your service desk project, go to Project settings () > Request types.

  2. Select Edit fields for the request type you want customers to link assets to.

  3. Click + Add a field.

  4. Choose Linked assets.

  5. Select Apply.
