Delete an asset field in next-gen service desks

You can delete an asset field if you don’t intend to use it again. If you want to use it again, you can hide the field.

You must have an asset management app installed and be a Jira administrator to add delete asset fields.

To delete the custom field:

  1. From your service desk project, go to Project settings () > Request types.

  2. Select the request type you want to edit.

  3. Under Internal fields, select the asset field you’d like to delete.

  4. Click Remove.

  5. This request type now no longer supports that asset field. You can add it back in later if you wish.
