Check your connection to troubleshoot email channel issues

Check the connection between Jira Service Desk Cloud and your email account is the first step in troubleshooting email channel issues. The error messages will show you why the email channel doesn't work for your service desk. You might also review how emails are processed to see why a certain type of email isn't appearing in your service desk.

You can check your custom email connection in your Jira settings:

  1. Go to Settings () > Products.

  2. Under Jira Service Desk, select Email requests.

  3. Select Test.

The Test function is only available for custom email channels, not the Atlassian default email channels.
