Cannot add a Program to the Capabilities in Jira Align

Summary

This article describes a problem where you cannot add a Program as the Primary Program/Additional Program to a Capability.

Diagnosis

Create a Capability and try to add a Program to this Capability. You are unable to add the program.

Cause

If the Capability is not enabled for the Portfolio that this Program is a part of, you cannot list this Program while adding it to the Capability.

Solution

Goto Administration > Platform > Portfolio Specific Configuration > Choose your Portfolio > Ensure “Enable Capabilities” is set to Yes.

You should now be able to add all the programs that are a part of this Portfolio.
