Rovo Studio is an AI-powered builder workspace that unifies how you design, automate, and connect solutions across your Atlassian work apps. All you have to do is describe your business need in natural language, and Rovo will build the right solution or recommend one if you’re not sure what to create.

This saves you time by letting Rovo handle the heavy lifting, so you don't have to configure everything manually. With Rovo Studio, you can build a prompt with natural language or an example or build from scratch.

Create with natural language

Creating with Rovo Studio is a collaborative process. Whether your prompt is very detailed or simple, Rovo will work with you to build the right solution.

If your prompt is more detailed, Rovo can usually draft a solution right away. If your prompt is broader or less detailed, Rovo shifts into a more conversational mode and asks clarifying questions. The following examples show how Rovo can work with you in each situation.

Start with a detailed prompt

In the following scenario, Rovo was given the following prompt:

“When someone creates a new task in our Customer Marketing project, I don’t want it to sit unassigned. I want it to automatically go to the right person so nothing falls through the cracks.”

Using your business need and your Teamwork Graph (TWG), Rovo drafts an automation rule that auto-assigns new work items to team members based on workload distribution.

You can review the draft and ask Rovo to make any edits or updates via chat. Then, if you’re happy with the plan, select Build.

Rovo will immediately open the right space in Rovo Studio (Automation, Agents, or Apps) with the solution configured and ready to turn on. If you want to make changes to an Agent or App, simply tell Rovo, and it will make the edits for you.

Try a simple prompt

You don’t have to start with a detailed prompt. Rovo will still help you find the right solution even if you simply state what you need. For example, you could state:

“I need help building an agent that supports my team.”

Rovo will respond with clarifying questions, such as:

  • “What specific tasks should this agent help with?”

  • “What’s the main business problem you’re trying to solve?”

  • “Will your agent need to interact with tools like Jira, Confluence, or external systems?”

As you answer, Rovo narrows in on the right solution and then takes you to the app space where that solution lives.

For best results, tell Rovo the problem you need to solve, where the problem is, and your desired outcome.

Use an example prompt

If you’re not sure what to ask for, example prompts are curated starting points for common scenarios. When you select one, Rovo adapts it to your context (your projects, spaces, and teams), and you can then refine the prompt in your own words. To do this, go to the Examples prompt section and select the prompt that best meets your needs.

Start from scratch

If you’d rather not use natural‑language prompting, you can manually build an agent or automation from scratch. To do this, go to the Or start from scratch section and select the solution you want to build.
