Add the Atlassian Rovo MCP server

In this section, you’ll setup an Amazon Quick Suite Actions integration with the Atlassian MCP server to connect with your Atlassian cloud instance. The process is divided into four steps for clarity.

Step 1: Create a new integration

Start by creating a new integration entry in Amazon Quick Suite.

  1. Sign on to Amazon Quick Suite using credentials with an Author Pro role in your web browser.

  2. From the Amazon Quick Suite Home screen, select Integrations from the Connections section on the left navigation panel, then select the Actions tab in the main panel.

  3. Under Set up a new integration, locate the Model Context Protocol (MCP) tile and select the plus (+) sign.

  4. On the Create integration screen, enter a Name and Description for your Atlassian integration.

  5. For the MCP server endpoint, enter the Atlassian-hosted MCP server URL:

    https://mcp.atlassian.com/v1/sse
  6. [次へ] を選択します。

Step 2: Authorize the connection

Next, authorize the Amazon Quick Suite MCP client to connect with the Atlassian MCP server.

  1. The Atlassian MCP server supports dynamic client registration and three-legged OAuth (3LO). The Amazon Quick Suite MCP client retrieves the required connection information from the Atlassian MCP server. On the next screen, select Create and continue.

  2. In the dialog window from the Atlassian MCP server requesting authorization for the Amazon Quick Suite MCP client, select Approve.

  3. Enter your Atlassian credentials when prompted.

  4. You will receive a request from the Atlassian MCP to access your Atlassian account. Select a specific instance, then select Accept.

The admin of the Atlassian instance may need to allowlist the dynamic OAuth client.

Step 3: Finalize and verify the integration

Now complete the setup and confirm the connection.

  1. The Amazon Quick Suite MCP client will establish a connection with the Atlassian MCP server and retrieve the supported actions or tools. This may take a few minutes.

  2. When the actions appear on your screen, select Next.

  3. (Optional), Share the integration with other users or groups. Because the Atlassian MCP server supports 3LO, shared users can only invoke actions and access data they are authorized to use in Atlassian Confluence and Jira.

  4. Select Done to finish setup.

  5. Your Actions integration for the Atlassian MCP server is now available.

Step 4: Use the integration

Once the integration is complete, you can use it directly from your Quick Suite chat environment.

You can invoke the atlassian-mcp Actions integration from an Amazon Quick Suite Chat Agent (for example, My Assistant) using a prompt such as:

List the Confluence spaces and Jira projects I am authorized to access.

This will trigger a sign-in request for you to authorize the integration to connect with the Atlassian MCP server on your behalf as part of the 3LO authentication process.

The response will include details of the Jira projects and Confluence pages you are authorized to access.

トラブルシューティング

If you encounter connection issues:

  • Confirm that the MCP server URL is correct.

  • Verify network access to mcp.atlassian.com.

  • Check your organization’s access policy and permissions.

Amazon Quick Suite may update its MCP integration process over time. For the latest steps, refer to the Amazon documentation.
