Office Word macro will not render document and displays an error 'Parsing glyph data of OpenType(CFF) font is not supported'

Problem
An office document will not render in the Office Document macro. An error is displayed in the UI.
The following appears in the UI:

The error 'Error rendering macro 'viewdoc' : java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeExceptionjava.lang.IllegalStateException: Parsing glyph data of OpenType(CFF) font is not supported.' Cause
This error message can occur when the embedded document contains a watermark.
There is a feature request to address this limitation:
Workaround
Remove the watermark from the document.
