Office Documents does not open as the last modified version

Summary
Symptoms
When you click on
, Office Document (e.g. Excel file) is opened as the original non-modified version although you just edited & save the newly updated content of the document and you can also see the modification when you embedded the file in Confluence page using Office Connector macro.
Diagnosis
Attach an Excel file to Confluence page
Embedded the file in Confluence page using Office Connector macro
Click on "Edit Document" & modify the file content & save
Click on "Edit Document" again and you see that the file is opened without the last modified content although the content changes is rendered fine from the Office Connector macro

Proxy configuration.
Solution
Resolution
Disable Proxy Server setting in IE (Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings) solves the problem.
