Labs Feature option for the new Application Link UI not available

Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Problem
Labs Feature option for the new Application Link UI is not showing on screen, therefore it can not be activated.
Diagnosis
In Bamboo 5.11, the new UI for Application Links was offered as a Lab Feature, here is how it looks like:
Cause
The new UI is not compatible with existing Application Links that use "Trusted Applications" authentication.
Resolution
Delete existing Application Links that use this authentication method.
