Summary

Sometimes the remote agents may have the same unique ID which may cause conflict with agent authentication.

Diagnosis

You will find two or more agents with the same unique ID on the Agent authentication page.

Cause

There are two common causes for this issue to happen:

  • Two remote agents using the same <remote-agent-home> folder or a copy of it.

  • Two remote agents with the same <remote-agent-home>/bamboo-agent.cfg.xml file

Solution

  • Delete <remote-agent-home>/bamboo-agent.cfg.xml file, restart the remote agent, and approve it again on the Agent authentication page.
